M&S Ravenhead

We are delighted to share our recent mechanical fit out of the new M&S Ravenhead store, working with Principal Contractor Simons. Our services included a gas fired boiler plant which serves unit heaters, overdoor heaters, radiators and the food hall heating UCWAS system. A gas-fired AHU provides minimum tempered fresh air to the retail areas with individual extract systems servicing toilets, fitting rooms and stock areas. Staff quarters are provided with a heat recovery mechanical ventilation unit located in the first-floor stock room. Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems serve merchandise areas, café and office areas which provide heating and cooling. All systems are independently controlled to suit the stores/individuals specific comfort requirements. Hot water is generated by a gas-fired heater that supplies a pumped flow and return system to all hot water outlets through the store, together with a boosted water and mains water plumbing distribution to new sanitary ware and sinks. A foul drainage & waste system has also been provided to the new sanitary appliances, the café servery, preparation areas and for VRF plant condensates. The project was successfully carried out to the client’s exacting requirements within a very tight programme.
